EYE CARE FOR COMPUTER AND MOBILE USERS:

Computer is the door to future in today's world. We spent most of the time in our office or work fields in front of the computer. Computer become the need of the hour. Internet world computer made our life very easy. Everything is on our finger tips now  On single click we can purchase and pay.


 Excess of everything is bad, the combination of fixed & constrained body postures bad ergonomics, work overload & unsuitable workstations and sitting arrangements can lead to health problems like chronic fatigue syndrome, aches & pain in neck, shoulders, forearm, wrist, hand, back. Which on chronic stage may include the more worsen symptoms like headache, blurred vision, dry eyes, irritated eyes, double vision, light sensitivity etc.

Eye and eyesight is the gift of the God So we should take care of this precious gift.


Given below are the simple changes which can ensure your eye health.

LIGHTING: Required  good illumination on working surfaces. Lower level illumination for general areas surrounding it.

EYE CARE TIPS:

Distance: Monitor should be more than 5 inches from the eyes.

Fonts and Background: Work with fonts of darker shades on light background.

Contact lenses: Contact lens users need to lubricate their eyes frequently.

Anti glare screen: Attach an anti-glare screen in front of your monitor.

Lighting solutions: Use suspended lights from ceiling & windows with curtains to avoid light hitting directly on eyes.


Break from work: Take short breaks for your eyes every 15-20 minutes between your work for 20-25 seconds & look 30-35 feet away.

Rest: Give proper rest to the eyes. Close your eyes for 20 seconds at least every half an hour.

Working at computers is not harmful to eyes, but make sure that proper care should be given to the eyes & You should have examination of your eyes at least once a year at good eye-care center.

Importance of  Good chair in eye care: 

Ergonomically a good chair is: Feet should rest on floor. Angle should be of 90 degrees at knee. Arm rest is desirable. Back must support the area from upper ridge of pelvis to shoulder blades. Curve in the back rest must support the hollow in the lower back.
